Journey. If I were to sum up Verdant Blends in one word, it would be journey. Established in 2023 by Deanna Decker and Christopher Scott , Verdant Blends is a culmination of nearly 70 years of experiences. Verdant Blends is more than just a business, it is a combination of our passions and talents. These passions and talents have been nurtured, curated, developed, and unfortunately neglected at times in our life journeys. It was the blending of our lives which led to Verdant Blends.
I love food. It provides avenues for nourishment, expression, bonding, and so much more. Food brings people together. Sharing culinary experiences with our friends, families, colleagues, and new acquaintances creates lasting memories. We are excited to share our love of quality food and create these memories with you!

What inspires me
I have always loved cooking. As a child, my extended family would gather around a table every Sunday and share their joys, sorrows, and experiences from the previous week. When I became a father, I wanted to continue this tradition of mealtime as a place to build connections. Little did I know the kitchen would be the place for gathering. As I cooked, side by side with my children it further served to inspire my creativity and fuel my passion.
Favorite flavors
I love Italian. The nostalgia of a home cooked Italian meal will always make it a favorite of mine. The preparation is far more of an experience with the endless hours of smells, music, flavors, laughter, and memories. I also really enjoy the staples of American cuisine, meat and potatoes. Whether it be smoking, grilling, cooking in cast iron , or baking; I love the basics. Taking traditional dishes, incorporating premium ingredients and impeccable technique, we aim to share these favorites flavors in every bite.
